Artist's Statement

Geoffrey DeMeritt is a freelance photographer working throughout the United States, primarily in the Mid-Atlantic region. DeMeritt's experiences have proven his ability to work in a variety of photographic styles and visual aesthetics. His specialties include portraiture, product, commercial, and documentary photography.

No matter what the subject, he is relentless in achieving his goal: to place the viewer into an image to better understand the meaning behind it.

A graduate of the Rocky Mountain School of Photography, DeMeritt currently resides in Chestertown, MD. He has quickly become well known locally for his talent after the opening of his inaugural series "What Once Was". After an emotional and commercial success, copies of his work from the show are now available for purchase at The Finishing Touch.
